BUDAPEST marathon 2025
On this trip we’ll not only introduce you the beauty of Budapest, but we’ll also be there to support and cheer you along as you take on this 26-mile marathon with 27,000 fellow runners from all over the world. The flat, riverside course is perfect for those taking on a marathon for the first time, and once you’re through that finish line you can enjoy celebrating your success with some post-run festivities in Hungary's vibrant capital.
And if the full marathon feels a bit too ambitious, or life throws a curveball in your training, don’t worry! You can still be part of the excitement by opting for the half marathon. This 13.1-mile course offers the same stunning views of the Danube and iconic Budapest landmarks but with a more manageable distance. Whether you’re using it as your main event or a backup plan, you’ll still experience the thrill of race day, the camaraderie of fellow runners, and the unforgettable atmosphere of this world-class event.
Plus, the best part? You don’t have to decide which distance you’ll run until 6 weeks before the race, giving you plenty of time to adjust your goals and make the choice that’s right for you.

THE ITINERARY
DAY 1
You will depart from a London based airport to arrive in Budapest in the midday. Your Choose a Challenge representatives will meet you at the airport and take you via private bus to your accommodation in the centre of Budapest. You will receive an arrival briefing before heading to pick up your runner number. In the evening, the team will meet for a pre race carbo-loading meal in preparation for the 42.195kms ahead. This is a great opportunity to mix with your fellow runners and exchange top tips and training stories. A pre-marathon briefing will also be given to ensure that you are fully prepared and able to ask any last minute questions. Multi-shared rooms accommodation. Carbon loading dinner included.

To get started on your challenge, all you need to do is pay your registration fee, as listed below. Once you are booked onto your challenge, it’s time to start your fundraising!
When taking on a challenge with us, you can rest assured that all of the money you fundraise throughout the year will go directly to the charity you are supporting. Once you hit that all important fundraising target and your place on the challenge is confirmed, the charity will use this money to cover the remaining costs of your challenge as well as to further the vital services that they provide. All of our challenges operate on a minimum 50:50 cost to donation ratio and 100% of any Gift Aid or funds that you raise above your target will stay with your charity.
