How do I log in to my booking?

You can log in to your account by heading here and using the same email address and password combination that you used when you signed up to your trip. You should also head here to change your registration or contact details and edit your details yourself. Alternatively, you can contact us and we can do it for you.

Can I cancel my place?

Yes! If you cancel your place within 72 hours of your first payment (if making a split payment) then the amount paid will be refunded less an administration fee of £20, and if you chose to split the Registration Fee, the second instalment will not be charged. If you paid the full registration fee then this will be fully refunded if you contact us within 72 hours, after this point we will be unable to refund your registration fee. You can cancel your space by filling in our Alterations Form. Be sure to chat to us first though, as we may be able to defer your space to next year, or offer you an alternative trip!

Can I change my travel option?

If you'd like to add or remove an extension trip, or change from 'with flights' to 'without flights' (or vice versa), you can do so by completing our Alterations Form. There will be an additional charge to do this after your trip's registration portal has closed.

How do the flexi-payment options work?

You can choose to pay an additional instalment toward your trip costs in exchange for a reduction in your fundraising target - we call this a ‘flexi payment’. You can choose from two flexi-payment plans and your balance will be paid 10 weeks before departure. Your flexi payment will automatically customise your fundraising target. You can find full costs and details on each individual challenge page.

How are difficulty levels measured?

We have four difficulty levels for our treks, which take into account factors like altitude, terrain, weather conditions and more. These are:

Moderate - ideal for those who are taking on their first challenge event and are looking for a shorter challenge. You will be required to do some training, but you will not need to worry about tough conditions, altitude or extreme weather. Perfect for first-timers who are looking to get more active!

Tough - for our tough challenges plenty of training will be required and some previous experience of trekking or hiking would be a bonus! You will face some relatively difficult terrains and be physically tested as you step out of your comfort zone. Ideal for those who are looking for their first multi-day fundraising adventure.

Challenging - on our challenging treks you will be walking long distances on sometimes/occasionally uneven and rough terrain and experience some harsh weather conditions so plenty of training will be required. You will be away from the comforts of home but will be rewarded with an unforgettable adventure! Perfect for those who want to push themselves physically and mentally.

Extreme - you will find yourself in remote environments with limited facilities as you take on a tough challenge with the added test of altitude. Training is essential for our extreme challenges as you will face extremely difficult terrains, long trekking days and often adverse weather conditions. These challenges are made for those looking for the ultimate adventure.

These difficulty ratings do not apply to our marathon events which are universally recognised as very difficult races. We understand that each participant's experience of a marathon will be extremely subjective. Training is essential but it's not to say that you can't take on a marathon if you have never done any serious running before - as long as you are willing to train, you will be able to take on one of these epic running challenges!

What fundraising support will I receive?

If you have concerns about any aspect of your fundraising journey, you always have your charity to support you. Your charity has a team of dedicated and experienced fundraising support, who can help you with any fundraising problem - big or small.

If you're not sure who to go to, contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.

What if I don't hit my fundraising target?

If you don’t hit your minimum sponsorship target, then you will not be able to travel on your challenge. If you are worried about hitting your sponsorship target, then you should get in touch with your charity and they will be able to help by giving you tips, ideas, fundraising opportunities and 1-to-1 support throughout your fundraising journey. If you think you might need more time to fundraise, consider deferring your space to the following year, which will give you more time to reach your fundraising target, you can contact us directly to discuss this further.

We have three different fundraising plans available to provide participants the maximum flexibility in fundraising. You can change your fundraising options right up until 8 weeks before your departure date. Take a look at your challenge landing page and info pack for your specific fundraising options.

Do I have to fundraise?

As a leading provider of travel-for-a-cause adventures, we pride ourselves on the fact that our challenges help to raise much-needed funds for worthy causes and encourage all of our participants to raise as much as they can for their chosen charity. However, we understand that reaching a fundraising target can be daunting and that people may want to take on an event as their own personal challenge or fundraise separately, so we do offer a self-funding option for our public participants. As a self-funder you will cover the full cost of the challenge yourself, you can then choose to raise as much as you can for your chosen cause. You will have no minimum sponsorship requirement and the cost of your challenge will be made up of your registration fee and final balance (due 10 weeks before departure.) See your chosen challenge page or info pack for full costs. Unfortunately we cannot offer the self-funding option to our student participants.

Who will I be travelling with?

On our open challenges, you will be joined by a group of like-minded individuals of varying ages and from all walks of life who, like you, are taking on the challenge of a lifetime for a worthy cause! On our university challenges you will be travelling with up to 30 fellow adventure-seeking students. You will be sure to make friends for life on your trip and share an unforgettable experience together.

Do I need travel insurance for my trip?

Travel insurance is compulsory for all of our trips and we recommend that participants take this out as soon as possible.

You are free to choose a policy that suits your needs which includes cover for all activities featured as part of your trip and depending on your challenge, the policy you choose should cover you for trekking at altitude and helicopter evacuation.

Where can I find the terms and conditions?

You can find our Participant Terms & Conditions here.
